The 2026 Decathlon Fun Run will take place on Sunday 23 August in Sheffield city centre. This is a 5K community running event organised by Decathlon as part of its nationwide RunDays series.
The 5k fun run will start and finish at the Decathlon Sheffield store, near to the Moor Market
To enable the event, a number of road closures will be in place along and near the route, affecting both car users and public transport users. This page contains more information about options for travelling to the event, and bus diversion information for all affected services.

Certain roads in Sheffield city centre will be closed on Sunday 23 August from approximately 09:30.
Check the diversion information for each specific bus service below.
Normal service is expected to resume for all services after 11:45, when the final remaining road closures are expected to be lifted.
Services 18a, 43, 44, 51, 56, 57, 65, 73, 95, 218, 272, X17, SC1, SC2, BP1 are subject to diversion.

Service 51 towards Charnock to divert via Arundel Gate, Angel Street, Castle Street, Haymarket, Arundel Gate.

Service SC1 towards Sheffield Interchange to divert from Eyre Street via Arundel Gate, Commercial Street, Park Square Roundabout, Sheaf Street, Harmer Lane.

Service SC2 from Sheffield Interchange to divert via Flat Street, Fitzalan Square, Arundel Gate, resuming normal route on Furnival Gate.

Service 218, towards Sheffield Interchange to divert via Arundel Gate, Angel Street, Castle Street, Haymarket, Flat Street, Pond Street, Sheffield Bus Interchange.

Services 218 towards Bakewell to divert from Sheffield Interchange via Flat Street, Fitzalan Square, Arundel Gate, resuming normal route on Furnival Gate.

Tram Replacement Service BP1 to divert via Charter Row, Moor Street, St Mary's Gate, St Mary's Road, Fornham Street, before returning to normal route on Suffolk Road.
It's free to park at any Travel South Yorkshire Park and Ride, just pay for the cost of your travel.
Park and Ride sites are well served by the Supertram network, which may be the quickest and easiest way for you to travel to the Sheffield Decathlon Fun Run as it isn't affected by road closures from the race.
The nearest tram stop for the Decathlon store Eyre Street start line is Sheffield Station.

To enable this event to operate safely, a number of road closures will be in effect:

Sylvester Street, Sidney Street, Matilda Street, Arundel Street, Furnival Street, Brown Street, Paternoster Row, Howard Street, Eyre Lane, Charles Lane, Charles Street, Brown Lane, Clay Lane, Froggatt Lane, Duke Lane, Newton Lane, Earl Street, Jessop Street, Arundel Lane, Sylvester Gardens, Howard Lane
Access to some residential areas immediately next to the race route may be restricted.

Most roads on the route are expected to close from around 15:00, to around 21:30.
All road closures are beyond the control of Travel South Yorkshire, and bus operators plan diversion routes on the latest available information. Some buses may revert to normal routes earlier than anticipated, depending on when roads are reopened.
