Disruptions

During the works the Purple route will be suspended,

The Blue route services will operate between Malin Bridge and Sheffield Station only, at a normal frequency of up to every 12 minutes.

Throughout these works, Supertram Replacement Bus service BL1 will operate between Fitzalan Square and Halfway, providing a frequent and reliable replacement for tram services in this area:

Saturday: every 20 minutes in the early morning, every 12 minutes during the day, and every 30 minutes in the evening 

Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday: every 20 minutes in the early morning and during the day, and every 30 minutes in the evening

These works won’t affect other tram routes, with Yellow route and Tram Train services operating as normal.

Tram Train services will divert to Meadowhall Interchange. The last service to Parkgate will depart Cathedral at 17:00, and the last service to Cathedral will depart Parkgate at 17:31. 

Supertram replacement bus service TT1 is timetabled to connect to tram services at Meadowhall South and will serve Rotherham Central and Parkgate.

Service 52a diverted via Retford Road & Furnace Lane in both directions (serving Ballifield Road to City).

Services X3 towards Sheffield will divert via Bridge Street College Road, Centenary Way picking up route at Ickles roundabout.                                                            

Services 73, 95 and 95s Sheffield bound from Rotherham Interchange to divert via Bridge Street College Road, Centenary way, Old Sheffield Road picking up route on Canklow Road.

Services 114, 136, 137, 138 towards Kimberworth to divert via Bridge Street, College Road, Centenary Way to the u turn to resume route on Masbrough Street.

Service 21a to divert via Racecommon Road and Broadway in both directions. 

New York Stadium -Rotherham United Home Games

When Main Street closes:
Services 137 and 138 towards Rotherham will turn left on Centenary Way, College Road Roundabout, then Bridge Street.
FROM Rotherham will divert via Chantry Bridge, Greasbrough Road & Centenary Way, then U turn back to Masbrough Street.

Hillsborough Stadium - Sheffield Wednesday Home Games

When Leppings Lane (only) closes:
Services 18, 31, 97 & 98 TOWARDS Hillsborough Interchange will divert along Penistone Road, then turn right along Bradfield Rd to Hillsborough Corner.
Services FROM Hillsborough Interchange will turn left onto Langsett Rd, left down Bamforth St, then left along Penistone Rd.

Additionally due to parked cars on Donovan Road, Service 98 will operate via the 97 route for the duration of a game

Bramall Lane Stadium -Sheffield United Home Games

Bramall Lane will close for a substantial period. Shoreham Street will also close sporadically between Alderson Road & Charlotte Road Roundabout.
Services 11, 18 & MAN4 will divert via Queens Road, Charlotte Road, Shoreham Street & St Mary's Road in both directions.
Service 252 will divert via Queens Road, Granville Square and St. Mary's Road in both directions.

TO GET THERE:
Shoreham Street: Services 1, 11, 24, 25 & 51.
Queens Road: Services 70/70a.

Note: If Shoreham Street is closed, then 1, 11, 18, 24, 41, 51, 252 & MAN4 services will all divert via Queens Road, Granville Square & St Mary's Road in both directions.

Services 27b, 28 and 32, although not diverted, these will be subject to delay along Pontefract Road near Oakwell Stadium.

Several roads in the vicinity of the Football Ground are also subject to Traffic Restriction Orders before and after each game.

Hillsborough Stadium

Service 86 - This diversion will be in place 1 hour before kick off until 30 minutes after full time. It will be on normal route either side of this.

Towards Low Edges
The service will follow the route as normal to the bottom of Fox Hill Crescent. After that it will turn left up Fox Hill Road and then right onto Wilcox Road. It will carry on to the lights where it will turn right onto Halifax Road, back on normal route.

Towards Chapeltown
Instead of turning left onto Fox Hill Road, the service will follow Halifax Road to the traffic lights (junction with Wilcox Road). At that point it will turn left onto Wilcox Road. At the end of Wilcox Road the service will turn right onto Fox Hill Road and follow the normal 86 route to Low Edges until it reaches the bottom of Fox Hill Crescent. 
It will then turn left onto Fox Hill Road, then finally right onto Wilcox Road - back on normal line of route.

Services 30 and 30a subject to short notice diversions as a result of heavy traffic due to the works.

Services 51, 52 and 52a running with delays.

Services 120 & 120k now diverted towards Fulwood via Upper Hanover Way, Brookhill roundabout & Western Bank.

Services 120 & 120k now diverted towards City and beyond via Western Bank, Brookhill roundabout, Broad Lane & Mappin Street.

Service 25 diverted via  Prince of Wales Road (Lidl), Castlebeck Avenue, Hastilar Road South (Fish Ponds) normal route at Richmond Road

Service to City unaffected.

Service 387 and 387a to divert via Kirton Lane, Thorne Road, Field Road (Silver Street), Church Road, Station Road, High Street, Thorne Road and Hatfield Road. Services to divert in both directions.

Service 59 and 59a towards Barnsley will divert via Old Tannery Road, Wakefield Road, Smithies Lane and Honeywell Grove. 

Service 59 and 59a from Barnsley to divert via Honeywell Street, Honeywell Grove, Smithies Lane, Wakefield Road and Burton Road.

Service 67 to divert via Hoyland Road, Fearnley Road and Skiers View Road.

Service X3 to divert in both directions via Meadowhall Way, Vulcan Road, Sheffield Road to Tinsley Roundabout, Bawtry Road to Canklow Roundabout Centenary Way to pick up route at Ickles Roundabout.

Service 120 to divert between Westfield and Halfway along Westfield Northway, Eckington Way, Station Road and Halfway Drive.

Service 252 to divert between Westfield and Oxclose along Westfield Northway, Eckington Way and Rotherham Road

Service M55 to divert between Westfield and Mosborough along Westfield Northway, Eckington Way and Station Road.

Service 30a between Westfield and Mosborough to run along Shortbrook Road, Westfield Southway, Moss Way and Station Road.

Service 120 between Westfield and Halfway to run along Westfield Northway, Eckington Way, Halfway tram stop bus lay-by, Eckington Way, Rotherham Road, Windmill Greenway, Auckland Way, Streetfields and turn at Streetfields roundabout.

Service 357 - diverted towards Doncaster only via Packington Road and Warning Tongue Lane to resume normal route.

Service 359 - diverting via Plumpton Park Road/Goodison Boulevard and Cantley Lane in both directions.

Services 21 25 29 98 99 356 357 357a 360 372 373 and 399 towards Doncaster will divert via Bennetthorpe, South Parade, Waterdale, Chequer Road, College Road, Cleveland Street and Trafford Way.

Services 21 25 29 98 99 355 357 357a 360 373 and 399 from Doncaster Interchange will divert via Trafford Way, Cleveland Street, Hall Gate, South Parade and Bennetthorpe.

Services 365 366 372 373 381 382 384 384a 385a 387 387a and 388 towards Doncaster will divert via Thorne Road, South Parade, Waterdale, Chequer Road, College Road and Cleveland Street.

Services 365 366 372 373 381 382 384 384a 385a 387 387a 388 from Doncaster will be unaffected.

Services 120 between Westfield and Halfway to divert along Westfield Northway, Eckington Way, Station Road and Halfway Drive.

Service 252 between Westfield and Oxclose to divert along Westfield Northway, Eckington Way and Rotherham Road.

Service M55 between Westfield and Mosborough to divert along Westfield Northway, Eckington Way and Station Road.
