Affordable, flexible bus travel in parts of Doncaster and Rotherham
OnDemand is a flexible, shared transport service that makes it easier to get around your local community.
You can book a journey when you need it and travel between your neighbourhood and local transport connections, helping you get to work, appointments, shops and other destinations.
The service operates in selected areas of Doncaster and Rotherham.
How does OnDemand work?
SYPN OnDemand works like a shared taxi, with journeys booked in advance rather than following a fixed route or timetable.
When you book, you'll be given a pick-up location and time. You may be asked to walk a short distance to meet your vehicle. This helps us group journeys together and keep travel times as short as possible.
You can book your journey:
- up to seven days in advance
- from 60 minutes before you want to travel
- through the SYPN OnDemand app
- online
- by phone, by calling 0114 504 6107

Adult fares start from £3, depending on your journey. Other fares and discounts are shown below.

When does SYPN OnDemand operate?
The service operates Monday to Saturday.
- First pick-ups: from 5am
- Last drop-offs: by 6pm
Availability can vary depending on your location and the journey you're booking.
Is the service wheelchair accessible?
All SYPN OnDemand vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
If you have any accessibility requirements, you can provide this information when you book your journey.
How do I book a journey on the app?
- Create an account. Download the SYPN OnDemand app and create an account.
- Enter your journey. Enter your pick-up and drop-off locations, then choose the available journey that works for you.
- Check your pick-up point. You'll be given details of where to meet your vehicle. This may involve a short walk from your requested pick-up address.
- Meet your vehicle. Arrive at your pick-up point at the time shown in your booking and look out for your SYPN OnDemand vehicle.
Where can I travel?
SYPN OnDemand operates in selected areas of Doncaster and Rotherham.
Your journey must start and finish within the areas covered by the service, although you can also use SYPN OnDemand to connect with local bus and rail services.
To check whether your journey is covered, enter your pick-up point and destination when booking.

The Doncaster zone covers the area around South Elmsall, Carcroft and Adwick. Key locations in the zone include:
