About us

Travel South Yorkshire represents the organisations and operators that work in partnership to provide you with public transport, walking and cycling products and services throughout South Yorkshire.

What we do

Travel South Yorkshire is here to provide you with travel assistance and public transport information. Whether you are travelling by bus, tram, tram train or train, or using one of our Park & Ride sites, we champion our customer and information services.

However often you travel by public transport, we can help you make the right travel decisions.

How we can help you

There are a number of ways you can get public transport information and help:

Travel advice

Our home page has all the links to online travel tools such as Ticket finder and Timetable finder and live departure times.

If you're passing through one of our interchanges you can find live departure information display screens, journey planning maps and information as well stand finder information posters to tell you which bus stand specific services run from (you can also find this on our Interchange live departure page). You can also ask for help at our Customer Service Desks located in every interchange.

You can also phone or tweet us for help, our Traveline call centre is available everyday between 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 7pm on weekends via our local call rate number: 0800 952 0002 as well as on Twitter @TravelSYorks.

Journey planning

Our journey planner tool uses Google maps to help plan your journey by bus, tram, tram train or train. It also shows cycle routes to get around. You can also save the journeys you make the most as favourites.

Our Traveline team work to provide the latest travel updates and service route change information on our Disruptions page these updates are also shared on our @TravelSYorks Twitter feed

Live departure times

Through our YourStop service you can get unique information on your mobile on buses and trams that are due at your usual stop by scanning a QR code on the timetable carousel.

If you prefer text message updates you can use our YourNextButext service which provides live bus departure information on your mobile phone for each stop.
