Works take place from Saturday 24 to Friday 30 May 2025
Information on this page:
Essential works to improve your Supertram network will take place on Langsett Road in Hillsborough for 7 days (Saturday 24 to Friday 30 May inclusive).
During this time, buses will replace trams between Cathedral and Malin Bridge and Middlewood.
We'll be working around the clock to complete these works in as short a time as possible.
Tram services in the affected areas are expected to resume on Saturday 31 May.
Other Supertram infrastructure works and Sheffield City Council roadworks will be taking place at the same time, helping to prevent disruption in the future, including:
- Road resurfacing on Infirmary Road and Langsett Road (overnight only)
- Works to remodel the junction of West Street and Rockingham Street
- Replacing rail sealing polymer on Glossop Road and West Street
Some of these works will result in the replacement buses using different routes and stops to normal, and local roads and buses will also be affected. Full details are available on this page.
This year significant investment is being made across the Supertram network, helping to enhance your journey and ensure continued reliability. View more information about how we’re improving your network on our Supertram Network Improvements page.
