We're sorry, the following journeys will not operate:
- 18:00 departure from Cathedral to Rotherham Parkgate
- 18:32 departure from Rotherham Parkgate to Cathedral
- 19:00 departure from Cathedral to Rotherham Parkgate
- 19:32 departure from Rotherham Parkgate to Cathedral
- 20:00 departure from Cathedral to Rotherham Parkgate
- 20:32 departure from Rotherham Parkgate to Nunnery Square
Alternative tram services
You can use your tram ticket on other Yellow route services between Cathedral and Tinsley/Meadowhall South and Meadowhall Interchange. View more information about our tram routes.
Use your tram ticket on local buses
You can use a valid tram ticket on First Bus services in the affected area. These are:
- Services X1 and X2: Between Sheffield ctiy centre, Meadowhall and Rotherham.
- Service X3: Between Sheffield ctiy centre, Meadowhall and Rotherham. This service is also the closest option for stops along the Tram Train route between Meadowhall and Sheffield.
- Services 141 and 142: Between Rotherham Interchange and Parkgate.
Use your tram ticket on local trains
You can use a valid tram ticket on Northern Rail services between Meadowhall and Rotherham Central stations.

Nearest bus stops
If your tram stop is affected, use the nearest bus stop. These are:
Meadowhall South (Tinsley) and Meadowhall Interchange
• You can use the Yellow route to travel to Meadowhall Interchange and then change to bus services X1, X2 or X3. Check the status of the Yellow route before you travel. For more information and departure stand locations visit the Meadowhall Interchange webpage.
City Centre (Fitzalan Square, Castle Square, Cathedral)
• Services towards Meadowhall and Rotherham: Services X1, X2 and X3 depart from Castlegate Stop CG22 (View live departures / View on Google Maps)
Rotherham Central
• Services towards Meadowhall and Sheffield: Services X1, X2 or X3 depart from Rotherham Interchange. For more information and departure stand locations visit the Rotherham Interchange webpage.
• Services towards Parkgate: Services 141 and 142 depart from Rotherham Interchange - please note that service 142 has the shortest journey time towards Parkgate. For more information and departure stand locations visit the Rotherham Interchange webpage.
Parkgate
• Services towards Rotherham (change at Rotherham Interchange for services X1, X2 and X3 towards Meadowhall and Sheffield): Service 141 departs from Rotherham Road/Stadium Way (View live departures / View on Google Maps). Service 142 departs from Rotherham Road/Stadium Way (outside the Peugeot showroom) - please note that this service has a longer journey time to Rotherham than service 141 (View live departures / View on Google Maps).
