Advice for local residents

To enable this event to operate safely, a number of road closures will be in effect, including on key transport corridors such as Ecclesall Road and Arundel Gate.

Access to some residential areas immediately next to the race route may be restricted.

View the route map and check road closure information on the Sheffield half marathon website.

Check our bus diversions and changes section for full details about bus diversion routes and changes.

Most roads on the route are expected to close from around 08:30 on the morning of the event, to around 11:30. Roads in the city centre will be closed for a longer period, with Arundel Gate expected to be closed from 04:00 to approximately 16:00. Check the Sheffield half marathon website for full details.

All road closures are beyond the control of Travel South Yorkshire, and bus operators plan diversion routes on the latest available information. Some buses may revert to normal routes earlier than anticipated, depending on when roads are reopened.
