Supertram gets festive with conductor’s choir charity fundraiser
On Sunday 30 November 2025, we’ll welcome the Glee Bah Gum Community Choir on board for a carol-singing fundraiser, bringing music, joy, and community spirit to our passengers.

The event has been made possible with the help of Supertram conductor and choir member David, whose idea brings festive cheer to both passengers and colleagues. Travellers will enjoy a mix of traditional and modern Christmas carols as the tram journeys through Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Sheffield City Centre, Hillsborough Stadium, Sheffield Cathedral, and more.
Last year, the choir raised funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity, and this year’s performances promise to be just as memorable, combining music, goodwill, and local pride. Find out more.
David, Supertram conductor and choir member, said:
“It was wonderful to sing on the trams last year and the whole event went much better than expected. So many people sat in the central carriage of the tram with us and sang along; a few even had tears in their eyes remembering times past. This year we are raising money for two children's charities, so, in a way we are embodying the spirit of Christmas: thinking of others, children and music. I hope lots of people come to listen to us this year.”
Ricky Petch, Director of Glee Bah Gum Community choir, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be performing on the Supertram once again and to share some festive cheer with passengers. Singing Christmas carols in such a unique setting is always a special experience as it brings people together in a way that really captures the spirit of the season. Our members are proud to support two wonderful local charities this year, and we hope everyone who joins us on board will feel part of something uplifting and meaningful.”
Jasmine Thompson, Senior Marketing & Communications Manager at Supertram said:
“Community connection and customer experience are at the heart of everything we do at Supertram. This event is a wonderful way to bring people together, not just through travel, but through shared moments of joy. We’re proud to continue to support the Glee Bah Gum Community Choir and the brilliant charities they’ve chosen, and we hope our customers enjoy a truly memorable festive journey with us.”
Plan your journey, hop aboard and join us for a tram filled with festive cheer, all in support of two worthy local causes.
