Zoom Zero Travel Pass - Private purchase

Please check with your local council whether you qualify for a free Zoom Zero Travel Pass before purchasing one from SYMCA.

• This pass is for children aged between five and 16 and is also available for students over 16.

Purchasing child prepaid tickets may work out cheaper if you travel regularly.  Please see the Discounted tickets for Young People page for more information.

Free travel on bus and tram between home and school, Monday to Friday, up to 1900.  It is valid on the days when school is open in term time only.

You can apply by downloading a Zoom Zero Travel Pass application form (PDF, 497Kb) and returning it to the address on the form together with one of the following:

• Direct Debit Mandate* (PDF, 351Kb), if you would like to spread the costs with monthly payments (taken on or just after the last day of the month).  This should also be downloaded and returned as a hard copy
  
  *Please complete ALL Bank details and remember to sign and date the Direct Debit Mandate.  Failure to do so may delay your application.
   

• If you wish to pay in full, a Direct Debit should be set up and the full amount will be taken at the end of September (the Direct Debit will then be cancelled by us).

Please note, the Private Purchase version of the Zoom Zero Travel Pass is not free.  The cost is calculated based on 180 school days using the concessionary fare and the number of boardings.

Renew

The pass is valid for one Academic Year and you must reapply each year.  A reminder is normally issued in June before the expiry of the current pass.

To replace a lost or damaged pass there is a £7 replacement fee.  Stolen passes can be replaced free of charge if you have a Crime Reference Number from the Police.

All replacements will be posted to your home address by First Class Post.
