First Week Child
The FirstWeek Child ticket offers children up to 18 years old unlimited travel for seven days on First Bus services within the South Yorkshire area.
- First bus drivers
- First mTicket app
- online via the First and TravelMaster (NFC enabled device required)* websites
- Ticket Vending Machines at Travel South Yorkshire Interchanges (excluding Adwick, Dinnington and Mexborough).
*The TravelMaster Download App is now available on both Android and iPhone devices.
Full ticket information
Children aged 5 - 18 eligible for a concessionary fare can purchase the FirstWeek Child. This ticket offers unlimited travel on the day of purchase and the following six days on First Bus services within the South Yorkshire area. The FirstWeek Child ticket is also accepted on Hulley's service 272.
Children aged 11 - 16 will need a valid Zoom Under 16 Travel Pass in order to purchase a FirstWeek Child*.
Children aged 16 - 18 will need a valid Zoom 16-18 Travel Pass in order to purchase a FirstWeek Child*.
For those children aged 11 and over this ticket is loaded directly to the Zoom Under 16 or Zoom 16-18 Travel Pass and is no longer available as a paper ticket.
If you're a parent you can buy a FirstWeek Child ticket on your mobile, using mTickets on the First Bus App, and send it to your child's phone. Please see the First website for further information on ticket gifting.

* Each time you use your FirstWeek Child ticket you'll need to show your Zoom Under 16/Zoom 16-18 Travel Pass to the driver.

Smartcards
New or replacement smartcards will be subject to a £1.00 charge, except concessionary passes such as the Zoom Under 16, Zoom 16-18, Zoom Beyond 18-21 and Zoom Zero Travel Passes, and ENCTS passes where the £7 replacement fee applies.
Please remember to re-use your smartcard in the future to avoid any additional charges.
