Interchange ticket machines

Advance ticket purchases are also available at Travel South Yorkshire Interchange ticket machines. All ticket machines accept card payments, and some also accept cash payments.

A conductor will scan your smartcard when you board the tram.

View information about interchanges and ticket machine locations

Tickets purchased at a ticket machine need loading onto a reusable smartcard. If you need one, a smartcard can be purchased from the ticket machine.

On-board conductor

Our trams have on-board conductors who can provide tickets and information. Cash and contactless card payments are accepted.

Please note that some tickets are cheaper when bought in advance, and certain tickets are only available to purchase on-board with cash. Please refer to specific information for each ticket or ask the conductor for assistance.

Other purchase locations

TravelMaster bus and tram tickets which are valid on Supertram can be purchased from the TravelMaster app or website, and other operators who also accept TravelMaster tickets.

You must make every effort to tender your fare or valid pass or ticket to a member of staff. Failure to do so may result in a £10 penalty fare being charged.
