Changes to Evening Tram Services
Works take place in the evening on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 August.
Blue and Purple route services between Fitzalan Square and Halfway will be suspended from approximately 21:30 until the end of service on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 August. Replacement bus services will operate between Fitzalan Square and Halfway during these periods, providing connections with trams at Fitzalan Square. These temporary changes are required to allow urgent preparatory works to take place ahead of the upcoming renewal works taking place near Fitzalan Square.

Blue route
Blue route tram services will will be suspended between Fitzalan Square and Halfway from around 21:00 until end of service on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 August.
Replacement buses will be in operation between Fitzalan Square and Halfway throughout, connecting with trams at Fitzalan Square.
Supertram tickets will be valid on replacement buses between Fitzalan Square and Halfway.

Purple route
Purple route tram services will will be suspended between Fitzalan Square and Halfway from around 21:00 until end of service on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 August.
Customers can continue their journey towards Herdings by using local bus services 47/48, which provide a direct connection and operate more frequently than changing between bus and tram.
Replacement buses will be in operation between Fitzalan Square and Halfway throughout, connecting with trams at Fitzalan Square.
Supertram tickets will be valid on replacement buses between Fitzalan Square and Halfway.
BL1
Replacement bus services BL1 will provide a frequent and reliable connection to tram services, operating between Fitzalan Square and Halfway.
- Limited stop service: Buses only stop at specific bus stops which are located near to affected tram stops.
- Travel with your tram ticket: Show any valid tram ticket purchased in advance using the TSY Mobile App or from a tram conductor. Tickets can also be purchased from the bus driver.
Speed up your journey by having your ticket ready to show the driver. You can also purchase a ticket using contactless card or cash when you board, just ask for a ticket like you would do from a tram conductor.
Bus only tickets are not accepted by the replacement bus service.

Local bus services 18/18a and 47/48 will continue to serve Herdings Park during the eveningworks.
- For journeys between Herdings Park and the City Centre: Use local bus services 47/48, which provide a direct connection and operate more frequently than changing between bus and tram.
- Track your bus: Use TSY Live Departures to see the location of your next bus on a real-time map.
- Travel with your tram ticket: Show any valid tram ticket purchased in advance using the TSY Mobile App or from a tram conductor. Tickets can also be purchased from the bus driver.

Changes to local transport
These renewal works will affect some roads and footpaths, but disruption is expected to be minimal for most people.
Walking
Our works are not expected to affect pedestrians. All footpaths and crossings around the worksite at Herdings will be open as normal.
Local buses
No local bus services are expected be affected by these works.

No road closures are expected be affected by these works.
Further information will be provided to residents by Volker on behalf of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. Diversions and road closures will be in place, please follow the signed diversion route. An interactive map of roadworks is available on the Sheffield City Council website.
Park and Ride
All Travel South Yorkshire Park and Ride sites will remain open during these works, offering free parking as usual.

- Sheffield Station to Granville Road: 5 minutes (450 metres)
- Granville Road to Park Croft: 12 minutes (810 meters)
- Park Croft to Park Grange: 9 minutes (482 meters)
- Park Grange to Arbourthorne Road: 14 minutes (812 meters)
- Arbourthorne Road to Spring lane: 11 minutes (805 meters)
- Spring lane to Manor Top: 16 minutes (0.7 miles)
- Manor Top to Hollinsend: 24 minutes (1.1 miles)
- Hollinsend to Gleadless Townend: 12 minutes (750 metres)
- Gleadless Townend to White Lane: 8 minutes (600 metres)
- Gleadless Townend to Herdings/Leighton Road: 9 minutes (650 metres)
- Herdings/Leighton Road to Herdings Park: 8 minutes (600 metres)
- White Lane to Birley Lane: 21 minutes (1,500 metres)
- Birley Lane to Birley Moor Road: 10 minutes (800 metres)
- Birley Moor Road to Hackenthorpe: 7 minutes (550 metres)
- Hackenthorpe to Donetsk Way: 10 minutes (800 metres)
- Donetsk Way to Moss Way: 8 minutes (600 metres)
- Moss Way to Crystal Peaks Interchange: 5 minutes (450 metres)
- Crystal Peaks Interchange to Drake House Lane: 9 minutes (700 metres)
- Drake House Lane to Waterthorpe: 11 minutes (750 metres)
- Waterthorpe to Westfield: 8 minutes (650 metres)
- Westfield to Halfway: 6 minutes (400 metres)

Unfortunately these works will generate noise, and our contractor will be working 24 hours a day. VolkerRail will endeavour to reduce noise as much as possible.
