You can still use the Tram Train route as normal between Cathedral and Meadowhall South (Tinsley). Services then divert to Meadowhall Interchange instead of continuing to Parkgate. There is no Tram Train service at Rotherham Central or Parkgate.
Use your tram ticket on local buses
You can use a valid tram ticket on First Bus services in the affected area. These are:
- Services X1 and X2: Between Meadowhall and Rotherham.
- Service X3: Between Meadowhall and Rotherham.
- Services 141 and 142: Between Rotherham Interchange and Parkgate. Service 141 to Rotherham and Service 142 to Parkgate.
Use your tram ticket on local trains
You can use a valid tram ticket on Northern Rail services between Meadowhall and Rotherham Central stations.

Nearest bus stops
If your tram stop is affected, use the nearest bus stop. These are:
Meadowhall South (Tinsley) and Meadowhall Interchange
• You can use the Yellow route or diverted Tram Train route to travel to Meadowhall Interchange and then change to bus services X1, X2 or X3. For more information and departure stand locations visit the Meadowhall Interchange webpage.
Rotherham Central
• Services towards Meadowhall: Services X1, X2 or X3 depart from Rotherham Interchange. For more information and departure stand locations visit the Rotherham Interchange webpage.
• Services towards Parkgate: Services 141 and 142 depart from Rotherham Interchange - please note that service 142 has the shortest journey time towards Parkgate. For more information and departure stand locations visit the Rotherham Interchange webpage.
Parkgate
• Services towards Rotherham (change at Rotherham Interchange for services X1, X2 and X3 towards Meadowhall): Service 141 departs from Rotherham Road/Stadium Way (View live departures / View on Google Maps). Service 142 departs from Rotherham Road/Stadium Way (outside the Peugeot showroom) - please note that this service has a longer journey time to Rotherham than service 141 (View live departures / View on Google Maps).
