Tramlines Festival 2026

Sheffield proudly welcomes Tramlines festival to Hillsborough Park on  Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July with headline acts from Fatboy Slim, Courteeners and Wolf Alice.

With an estimated 100,000 attending the three-day-event, festival goers are encouraged to plan before they travel and to use available public transport services as there are no parking facilities available near the venue.

Travelling to and from the event

Hillsborough Park is well connected to the city centre by bus and tram services, making travelling by public transport the most convenient way to get to and from the festival.

Stay safe at tramlines

South Yorkshire Police are supporting Tramlines Festival through their Stand With Us campaign, which raises awareness of violence against women and girls, and sexual offences.

The campaign encourages everyone to look out for one another, challenge inappropriate behaviour, and help create a safe and respectful environment for all festivalgoers.

If you need help during the event, please speak to event staff or a police officer. In an emergency, always call 999.

Together, we can make Tramlines a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Local road closures and traffic management

Roads will be very busy after the festival which may cause congestion and prevent services from operating normal routes. Localised road closures will be in place after the event to help people leave the festival safely. Please follow signage and any guidance from staff and police.

Further help and support

The festival finishes at 22:30 on Friday and Saturday and 21:30 on Sunday. Trams, buses and taxis will be available to take people home.

Get help at an Interchange

Our customer service teams at Travel South Yorkshire Interchanges can provide more information and help you plan your journey. Interchange opening times at Hillsborough will be as normal but an additional five staff members will be available from 1900-2300 to assist with transport enquiries between the interchange entrance and Hillsborough Corner.

Buses and trams are expected to be busier than normal over the weekend, and journeys may take longer than usual. We are therefore reminding people attending Tramlines or wishing to travel in the area, to plan ahead using our online Journey planner tool and prepare for longer journey times. You are also advised to purchase tickets in advance, allow extra time and check before you travel by visiting the Travel South Yorkshire disruptions page for the latest travel information.
