Description: Network Rail will be carrying out engineering works that will impact trains running between Manchester and Stockport. No train services will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport from Saturday 14 February to Sunday 22 February as lines are closed to allow Network Rail to carry out engineering works on the Piccadilly corridor. East Midlands Railway, Northern and TransPennine Express services operating in South Yorkshire will be affected from Saturday 14 February to Sunday 22 February as follows: East Midlands Railway There will be an amended timetable on services between Nottingham/Norwich and Liverpool Lime Street: Services will run between Norwich and Sheffield only A rail replacement bus service will run between Chesterfield and Manchester Piccadilly. This will increase your journey time and you should allow extra time to travel. For travel between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street, you should use alternative services. A very limited train service will run between Sheffield and Hazel Grove. |
Northern There will be no rail services between Manchester Piccadilly & Manchester Airport, Stockport, Rose Hill Marple (via Bredbury), or Guide Bridge. One train per hour will from Guide Bridge to Sheffield via Hyde Central. Rail replacement buses will be available between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport (non stop) Manchester Victoria and Guide Bridge. Manchester Victoria and Rose Hill Marple via Bredbury. Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport. |
TransPennine Express A heavily amended train timetable will run across the TransPennine Express network and for travel between: Manchester Piccadilly/Manchester Oxford Road and Sheffield: Use rail replacement buses between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport - then change for TransPennine Express services towards Sheffield; or between Manchester Victoria and Guide Bridge - then change for Northern services towards Sheffield Manchester Airport and Sheffield: Use rail replacement buses between Manchester Airport and Stockport - then change for TransPennine Express services towards Sheffield |
