Harthill road closures – autumn 2023

A number of road closures will take place in Harthill and Woodall to accommodate various utility works. These road closure will affect local buses in the area as follows:
 
Woodall Lane and Killamarsh Lane - Wednesday 18 October until Friday 8 December 2023
 
Woodall Lane and Killamarsh Lane is being closed in phases between the junction of Union Street and beyond the M1 bridge towards Woodall Road.

How will bus services be affected?
As a result of the above works bus services will be unable to serve from Harthill along Woodall Lane/Killamarsh Lane and will operate as follows:
  • Services 26 and 26a will run a temporary timetable:
    • Service 26 will run as normal up to and including along Thorpe Road before diverting on to Hard Lane towards Kiveton where it will follow the remainder of the service 26a route to Crystal Peaks
    • Service 26a will follow the route of service 26 towards Kiveton, turn right into Hard Lane then left on to Thorpe Road before continuing the normal route of service 26a to Thorpe Salvin.
  • Service 21 will run as normal
  • School service 626 will be unable to serve Woodall Lane and Thorpe Salvin pupils.
  • School service 627 will be unable to serve Woodall Lane and will start at Rotherham Road Roundabout
  • Service X30 will start and terminate at Sheffield Road
Any residents unable to access standard public transport services may register with the Community Bus service. Details are available on our door 2 door services page.
