RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse – 16-20 July

RHS Flower Show is taking place at Wentworth Woodhouse from Wednesday 16 July to Sunday 20 July, offering a day out for all the family, with unique gardens, talks and tips, children’s activities, floral installations, markets, stalls and food and drink.

Public transport and roads will be busier than normal so allow extra time for your journey.  

Impact on bus services

Visitors to the show and residents are advised to use the free RHS shuttle bus which will run between Meadowhall and Wentworth Woodhouse from 16-20 July from 09:20 to 18:00 every 20-45 minutes.

The following local bus services will be affected:
 
  • Services 7 - will not serve Wentworth
  • Service 44 - will not serve Wentworth but will continue to serve Harley
  • Service 107 - will not serve Nether Haugh or Upper Haugh
    • Nether Haugh residents can use service 7 to Rotherham or Hoyland where they can interchange with other services
    • Upper Haugh residents can use service 8 on Haugh Road to Rotherham where they can connect to other services
    • residents wishing to visit the flower show will need to use service 7 (Nether Haugh) or service 8 (Upper Haugh) to Rotherham and then service X1, X2 or X3 to Meadowhall to use the free RHS shuttle bus.
  • Service 136 – will run as normal Monday to Saturday but will not serve Wentworth on Sunday 20 July
    • Harley residents can use service 44 or service 2 to Chapeltown, then service 77 to Meadowhall where they can use the free RHS shuttle bus to/from Meadowhall
    • Thorpe Hesley residents wishing to visit the flower show should:
      • use any local bus service Kimberworth where they can change onto service 137 to Meadowhall where they can use the free RHS shuttle bus
      • use a local bus service to Rotherham Interchange and change onto service X1, X2 or X3 to Meadowhall where they can use the free RHS shuttle bus
  • School service 648:
    • students travelling from Elsecar, Hartley, Hoyland, Wentworth can use these services as normal but there may be some delays on the afternoon journeys
  • School service 690
    • students travelling from Wentworth can use these services as normal
    • students could see some disruption to the afternoon journeys from school.

Travelling by tram and Tram Train


Supertram tram and Tram Train services run from Sheffield serving Rotherham Central and Parkgate, providing links to Meadowhall to connect with the RHS shuttle bus.

Travelling by train


Train services operate from Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield to Meadowhall to link to the RHS shuttle bus. Journey planners are available on the National Rail website or our Travel South Yorkshire website.
 

Park & Ride


If travelling by car, there are Park & Ride facilities across South Yorkshire with bus, tram and train connections to the venue.
