Payment Method Changes to CityWide 7-Day and SY Connect 7-Day tickets on Trams

Effective Sunday 23 March 2025, Supertram will no longer accept onboard card payments for CityWide 7-day and SYConnect 7-day tickets due to concerns about misuse and fraud. This change comes as part of our broader efforts to tackle organised crime linked to fraudulent ticket sales. CCTV footage from onboard is being used as part of ongoing investigations.

Please note that this applies only to these two products. All other tickets, including CityWide (except the 7-Day tickets), Tram-only tickets, and TravelMaster GetAbout 7-Day Child tickets, will remain available for purchase using existing payment methods.

Supertram, TravelMaster, and Travel South Yorkshire remain committed to providing accessible, secure, and convenient ticketing options, ensuring customers can continue to purchase tickets with confidence.

Where to Purchase CityWide 7-day and SYConnect 7-day Tickets 

Customers can continue to purchase CityWide 7-day and SYConnect 7-day tickets using card payment via the TSY Mobile App – the quick and cheaper way to pay for travel on Supertram. More information on the TSY Mobile app can be found here.
