Sheffield BID has relaunched Mobile Sheffield

Sheffield BID’s Mobile Sheffield scheme provides pavement mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs and tri walkers for use in Sheffield city centre.
The service, which sadly closed because of the pandemic, will now be delivered by the BID Welcome Team and will operate out of the BID’s Surrey Street location, next to The Winter Garden and a stone’s throw from our Arundel Gate Interchange.
The relaunch is the first step to rejuvenating Mobile Sheffield which also includes a personal concierge service and meet and greet options. Bringing this scheme back to life is an important step in developing a disability-friendly city.
The scheme offers products to help people with walking difficulties or disabilities access shops and amenities in the city centre. You don’t need a blue badge, and anyone with mobility issues, whether due to age, disability or injury can hire equipment – you just need to book in advance.
To find out more and for booking information, visit the Mobile Sheffield website for more information.
We’re committed to accessibility of public transport and transport interchanges.
