Blue route: Amended service

The Blue route is running an amended service due to an infrastructure issue near Birley Lane.

The Blue route is operating an amended service between Malin Bridge and Herdings Park. This is due to the identification of a historical well or mineshaft below the tracks, which means we are unable to operate trams between Gleadless Townend and Halfway.

We anticipate tram services to be suspended in this area for some time whilst we undertake further investigations and remedial works to ensure the tracks are safe. For further information and updates about this issue, view our news article.

Replacement bus service BL1 is operating between Gleadless Townend and Halfway.
