Supertram renewal works near Manor Top, Hollinsend and Park Grange
Works take place from Monday 28 July to Friday 15 August.
These works won't affect services for Tramlines.

Essential works to improve your Supertram network will take place from Monday 28 July to Friday 15 August inclusive (19 days).
We'll complete a number of improvement works to enhance your journey and ensure continued reliability, including:
- Track renewal works on Ridgeway Road between Manor Top and Hollinsend tram stops
- Track renewal works on Norfolk Park Viaduct (between Granville Road and Park Grange Croft tram stops)
- Replacing rail sealing polymer near Park Grange tram stop

These works will not affect services for Tramlines, which takes place in Hillsborough Park from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 July. View travel information for Tramlines.
Blue route
- Trams operate between Malin Bridge and Sheffield Station, at a normal frequency of up to every 12 minutes
- Trams operate between Halfway and Gleadless Townend, up to every 15 minutes
- Replacement bus service BP1 will provide connection between each part of the Blue route
Change between tram and replacement bus services at Fitzalan Square and Gleadless Townend to continue your journey.
The temporary Blue route timetable is currently unavailable, please check back on Wednesday 16 July.
Replacement bus service BP1
BP1 Bus
Replacement bus service BP1 will provide a frequent and reliable connection to tram services, operating between Fitzalan Square and Herdings Park.
Change between tram and replacement bus services at Fitzalan Square and Gleadless Townend.
- Timetabled to connect with trams: Services operate up to every 15 minutes, and are synced with tram service frequency throughout the day.
- Express service: This bus only stops at specific bus stops which are located near to affected tram stops.
- Travel with your tram ticket: Show any valid tram ticket purchased in advance using the TSY Mobile App or from a tram conductor. Tickets can also be purchased from the bus driver.
Speed up your journey by having your ticket ready to show the driver. You can also purchase a ticket using contactless card or cash when you board, just ask for a ticket like you would do from a tram conductor.
Bus only tickets are not accepted by the replacement bus service.

Tram services in this area are expected to resume on Saturday 16 August.
The renewal works taking place near Manor Top, Hollinsend and Park Grange will prevent trams from being able to serve stops from Granville Road to Hollinsend, and Herdings/Leighton Road to Herdings Park. The majority of the Supertram network will remain open.
You may need to use the replacement bus for part of your journey. Connect between tram and bus services at Fitzalan Square and Gleadless Townend.
Tram replacement bus stops will be marked and have information provided where possible. Use the maps in the sections below to plan ahead and find the location of your replacement bus stop.

These renewal works will affect some roads and footpaths, but disruption is expected to be minimal.
Pedestrians
At Halfway, the pedestrian crossing between the tram stop and Park and Ride nearest to the cabin will be closed. Please use the other crossing.
Roads
The renewal works taking place on Ridgeway Road between Manor Top and Hollinsend tram stops will require us to close one lane of traffic. This may result in some delays to road users, but no diversions are required.
Work taking place on Park Grange Road will require traffic management measures, which may result in some delays to road users, but no diversions are required.

Park and Ride
All Travel South Yorkshire Park and Ride sites will remain open during these works, offering free parking as usual.

Walking, Wheeling and Cycling
It may be quicker and more convenient to walk, wheel or cycle part of your journey to connect to services at a different stop.
Free cycle parking is available at Sheffield Interchange.
Approximate walking times between nearby and affected tram stops:
- Sheffield Station to Granville Road: 5 minutes (350 metres)
- Granville Road to Park Grange Croft: 12 minutes (750 metres)
- Park Grange Croft to Park Grange: 9 minutes (550 metres)
- Park Grange to Arbourthorne Road: 14 minutes (800 metres)
- Arbourthorne Road to Spring Lane: 11 minutes (800 metres)
- Spring Lane to Manor Top: 17 minutes (1,100 metres)
- Manor Top to Hollinsend: 12 minutes (900 metres)
- Hollinsend to Gleadless Townend: 12 minutes (750 metres)
- Gleadless Townend to Herdings/Leighton Road: 9 minutes (650 metres)
- Herdings/Leighton Road to Herdings Park: 8 minutes (600 metres)

It should be noted that during these works, Supertram tickets will not be accepted on local bus services, only the Supertram replacement bus.

Unfortunately these works will generate noise, and our contractor will be working 24 hours a day. VolkerRail will endeavour to reduce noise as much as possible.
