Fares cut and frozen from New Year’s Day
From 1 January fares across Supertram and child fares on buses and trams will be frozen, alongside a cut to the long-distance single Supertram fare.
Your Fares 2026:
- Supertram fares frozen at their current rates.
- Supertram adult long-distance singles cut from £3.40 to £3, aligning with the national bus fare cap.
- Child concessionary singles on bus and tram frozen at £1 per journey.
The child concessionary £1 single fare on bus and tram is subject to having a valid Zoom U16 or 16-18 travel pass. For more details and how to apply see Zoom Passes.
The scheme aims to help families travel more easily, ease the cost of living and encourage more people back onto public transport.

The fare cut applies to single tickets bought on-board. The Supertram fare freeze applies to Supertram products only. Third party tickets are excluded.
