updated: 14 May 2021 - social distancing information updated
Door 2 Door bus services (also known as Community Transport) are for people who have difficulty using the mainstream public transport network. These services use fully accessible vehicles and can take you from your own home to places round your local area - like supermarkets or town centres - without the need to get to a bus stop.
Community Transport - Coronavirus updates
Update for 17 May
From the 17 May community transport services will remove the current limit of two passengers but one metre social distancing will still apply so capacity will still be restricted. Dial-a-ride services continue to be bookable with some limited shopper bus services being reintroduced from the 17 May.
Community Transport services offer free travel for high priority groups struggling to get to Covid-19 vaccination sites
Community Transport providers across South Yorkshire are offering a free return journey to a Covid-19 vaccination site to people, in high priority groups, who cannot access public transport and have no alternative.
To book your return journey, call your local provider using the number below when you have your vaccine appointment details. Please try to give us as much notice as possible, at least one or two days before you need to travel.
