Public transport consultations this autumn

We’re asking for your views on several public transport focused consultations this autumn to help us in our decision making when we’re considering changes and improvements to the public transport network.
  • Bus lane review scheme consultation (Sheffield/Rotherham) - we’re asking for your views on our highway project proposals designed to help improve bus reliability and reduce journey times for bus users, making it easier for people to travel for work and leisure. The consultation is now open and closes on Wednesday 21 January 2026.
  • Customer Principles survey – we’re asking for your feedback on our proposed Customer Principles for transport. Your views are essential to determine how we deliver a positive customer experience for an integrated transport network across the region. The survey is now closed.
  • Bus fleet survey – we’re bringing buses back under public control. We want to hear from you about how we can design better buses that are accessible for everyone - the survey is now closed.
  • Annual Transport Survey - Further information will be made available later this year

Find out more about these consultations and take part via Our consultations and engagement - South Yorkshire MCA webpage.

Anyone, including people who do not live in South Yorkshire can take part. Your views are important to us to help shape and build a better, integrated network across South Yorkshire.
