Magna Tram Train Station – Onboard from 9 April
A new Magna Tram Train station opens on Thursday 9 April - the first new stop on the network since 2018.
The Magna station offers passengers travelling between Sheffield and Rotherham more choice and greener, reliable journeys.
A new gateway to Magna and the Lower Don Valley
Magna Science Adventure Centre is one of South Yorkshire’s most popular family attractions.
The new station makes it easier to reach Magna and nearby employment hubs like Templeborough and Tinsley.
New cycle routes and upgraded pavements along Sheffield Road will make it safer and easier to walk, wheel or cycle around the area too.

To help avoid congestion near Junction 34, Magna station offers:
- 100 free Park & Ride spaces
- Cycle parking
- Electric vehicle charging
By making use of parking at Magna, the new stop helps reduce traffic and improve air quality, while giving everyone more choice about how to travel.

- A new pedestrian overbridge
