Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Zoom Beyond 18-21 Travel Pass?
The Zoom Beyond 18-21 Travel Pass entitles pass holders to travel on buses and trams in South Yorkshire for 80p per single journey. Pass holders must live in South Yorkshire, either permanently or during term-time, to be eligible. The Zoom Beyond 18-21 Travel Pass concession is a non-statutory service funded by SYMCA.
Why is this being removed?
The funding South Yorkshire receives from Government to support locally funded bus services has reduced and is not enough to protect all services and fare incentives. Fifteen percent of the bus network has been lost since October 2022. The removal of the Zoom Beyond 18-21 Travel Pass was agreed by the Mayoral Combined Authority board meeting as part of a series of measures to protect as many routes and services as possible across the region.
