Find out what the cheapest bus ticket is for you
Ticket prices are set to increase but many single tickets still remain below the national fare cap of £3.
If you travel regularly, it may be better value to get daily or weekly tickets.
A fare cap, not a flat fare
The bus fare cap will rise to £3 from 1 January 2025 in South Yorkshire.
£3 is the maximum fare for any single bus ticket, and in some journeys, there are cheaper tickets available for your journey.
Remember to check the Ticket finder before you travel or ask the driver before you buy.
Daily travel
There are a range of 1-day tickets which allow you to travel as many times as you like in a day.
These tickets often provide better value than buying singles or returns.

Weekly travel
The more you travel then more you will save with a 7-day ticket.
If you use the Bus frequently these tickets will give you great everyday value.
