Planned Strike Action - Northern Network

Industrial action planned for 8, 10, 12 January 2018 is likely to cause disruption to rail services provided by operator Northern.

During the strike, Northern will run to a revised service with around 60% of services running between 7am and 7pm, though many routes will start to wind down from late afternoon. It is expected that alternative rail routes, as well as buses, trams and roads in South Yorkshire will be busier than usual.

Please note that a fire at Nottingham Station has also resulted in significant disruption to all East Midlands Trains services through Nottingham on Friday 12 January. Nottingham to Liverpool services are currently cancelled and it is anticipated that Nottingham station will not re-open today. For the latest information vist East Midlands Train's website

Changes to services

Timetables for Northern trains that will be running during industrial action, and the latest information about replacement buses, will be available on Northern’s dedicated website.
