Tour of Britain Men’s race – Travel advice
On Thursday 5th September the towns and cities across South Yorkshire will host stage three of the 20th edition of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race, the men’s Tour of Britain.
Starting from Arundel Gate in Sheffield in the morning and finishing at Barnsley Town Centre in the afternoon, there are a series of planned diversions and disruptions across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield to allow the race to take place safely.
Whether you are planning your commute to work or wanting to get out and spectate the race on 5th September, we are encouraging all passengers to check our dedicated Tour of Britain 2024 page to see a full list of disrupted bus services, including the timings that specific roads and routes will be affected. Changes to some services and road closures are expected from 09:45 until 15:35.
