Tramlines 2024

Tramlines is Sheffield’s longest-running city music festival and returns to Hillsborough Park, Sheffield, on Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July 2024, with an amazing line-up of music, family entertainment, comedy, poetry and DJ’s along with plenty of food and drink to keep you party ready. Supertram provides an excellent way to travel to the festival, with frequent services from the railway station, city centre and Park & Ride sites direct to Hillsborough, with a dedicated service from the festival site back into the city centre at the end.

Travelling to tramlines

Parking is limited, so why not travel by Supertram?  
Tram Icon Journey time from Sheffield city centre to Hillsborough Park takes just 13 minutes. If you’re heading into Sheffield for the Tramlines Fringe events, Supertram serves multiple stops in the city including West Street, so it’s an easy and convenient way to travel.

If you’re travelling to Sheffield by car, our park and ride sites offer the perfect solution. Free parking and open 24 hours, glide to the party stress-free by Supertram.

Better value tickets – buy ahead on the app 

For travel to the main stages:

  • Yellow Route to Hillsborough Park or Leppings Lane tram stops 
  • Blue Route to Hillsborough tram stop, which is a five-minute walk to the park.

With up to 40,000 festival goers, our trams will be busy after the event and journey times may take longer than usual.  We are providing additional tram services to minimise delays and congestion. 

From Hillsborough Park, a revised service will be in operation after the festival. Please leave by the designated Supertram exit and board the special festival service at the Leppings Lane stop. Additional services will commence approximately half an hour after the final headline band finishes. For those leaving the festival earlier a normal service will run until mid-evening

Supertram Tramlines day tickets

  • Adult single ticket to/from the city centre - £2.80
  • Adult day ticket - £5.40 (discounted to £5 on the app)
  • Family day ticket - £11.00 (discounted to £10.50 on the app)
  • Child tickets - £1 single, £2 return, £3 all day (only available to young people with a valid Zoom under 16 or Zoom 16-18 Travel Pass 

Passengers wanting to use a bus or train within South Yorkshire to connect with the tram can buy a value for money, multi-operator ticket:

  • CityWide  1 Day - £6.30 (Bus and tram travel in Sheffield)
  •  SY Connect - £8.60 (unlimited bus and tram travel in South Yorkshire)
  • SY Connect+ - £10.70 (unlimited bus, tram and train travel in South Yorkshire

Please note:

Network improvements are taking place on the tram network over the tramlines weekend, which will impact Blue Route service between White Lane and Crystal Peaks. A revised service will be in place with a rail replacement bus service in operation.
