October service changes – Have your say!

Tuesday 6 August – Friday 30 August

Bus companies in South Yorkshire are free to decide where and when they will run services. South Yorkshire’s bus network has seen significant reductions in the last year due to a reduction in funding under the previous government and reduced passenger demand.

Through consultation, Stagecoach Chesterfield are now seeking views and feedback on proposed changes to their local bus network from Tuesday 6 August to Friday 30 August.

Customers views are important, and Stagecoach will consider and review all feedback to agree any changes needed before the final network plan is implemented from Sunday 27 October 2024.

What services are affected in South Yorkshire?

The majority of Stagecoach’s proposed changes are on their Chesterfield network. However, the following services affect journeys in South Yorkshire:

  • 43a Sheffield – Heeley – Woodseats – Lowedges : the service will be renumbered service 42
  • X17 – Barnsley – Meadowhall – Sheffield – Chesterfield – Matlock – Wirksworth Between Meadowhall and Arena Square, buses will operate via Meadowhall Road, Meadowhall Way, Meadowhall Drive, Weedon Street, Dunlop Street and Carbrook Street rather than Meadowhall Way, Vulcan Road, Sheffield Road and Attercliffe Common.

How to take part?

Members of the public are being encouraged to have their say on proposed changes to Stagecoach Chesterfield’s commercial network.

You have until Friday 30 August to send Stagecoach your feedback.

Your views are important and will be taken into consideration before Stagecoach introduce the changes from Sunday 27 October 2024.
