Links with People and History

Many of the Travel South Yorkshire Partnerships rural buses have been specially named to commemorate South Yorkshire's local history.

Many of South Yorkshire’s rural bus services have been given names to commemorate the region’s local history.

Following research involving parish councils, archivists and local residents, rural bus services now have a connection with South Yorkshire’s history.

The named rural services are as follows:

• The Clayminer
• The Little Mesters
• Thomas Jessop
• Tickhill Castle
• Vulcan
