- First, go to the text messaging service on your mobile phone and create a new message.
- Next, text the 8-digit bus stop number – located on the bus stop flag or timetable information to 64422. Each text costs up to 12p plus your standard network rate.
- Finally, wait for us to send you a message back telling you how many minutes away your bus is from the bus stop, you should receive your message back within 60 seconds.
Getting YourNextBus times for a specific service
At bus stops used by more than one bus service, here’s how you can ask YourNextBus for information on a particular bus:
- input your 8-digit bus stop number
eg 37021180
- add a space and then enter the bus service number eg 37021180 14.
Getting YourNextBus times of bus services later in the day
Although getting accurate information for services running later in the day is difficult, you can still receive timetable based information:
- input your 8-digit bus stop number
eg 37021180
- add a space and then enter your chosen time
- make sure you use the 24 hour clock!
eg 37021180 1330.
