Cycling

What is free to use, leaves when you want to, takes you door to door and causes no pollution?

  • Your bike.

Cycling and public transport

Cycling is a great way to make your own tailored journey. It is a door to door option which allows you to link with public transport facilities at local rail, bus and tram stops.

It is also a healthy option for everyday travel to work, school or the local shops, even a leisurely visit to the country.

With public transport within South Yorkshire becoming even more bicycle friendly, cycling has never been easier.

For more information about taking your bicycle on public transport, please download our leaflet (1MB, PDF).  You will need Adobe Reader to view this document.

For information on taking your bicycle on local rail services visit Northern Rail.
