If you attend an FE college (sorry, not a University) in South Yorkshire, you may qualify for a Student TravelMaster. This gives you unlimited travel throughout South Yorkshire by bus, train or tram for the whole of the college term.
The pass is available to college students age 16 upwards and can be bought by both residents and non-residents of South Yorkshire who are attending college within South Yorkshire.
There are currently boundary restrictions, because the pass can only be used within the South Yorkshire district, extra payment may be required up to the county boundary.
Colleges sometimes buy these passes for specific groups of students. Ask at your college for details – the Student Services Office (or something similar) might be a good place to start.
Student TravelMaster currently costs £118.50 per term (£125 per term from September 2007).
Colleges involved are:
- Barnsley College
- Dearne Valley College
- Doncaster College
- Longley Park Sixth Form College
- Rother Valley College
- Rotherham College of Art and Technology
- The Sheffield College
- Thomas Rotherham College.
Contact your college to see if you qualify for any funding towards your Student TravelMaster.
If you are between 16 and 19, you also qualify for a discounted TravelMaster pass. For more information, visit the 16-19 TravelMaster page.
