    Have somewhere to go but no clue how to get there? Jump through to our Journey Planner Page. Simply enter where you are, where you want to go, the time you want to leave or arrive and we’ll do the rest.

    If you’re on a budget, then you’ll want to know about the different money saving opportunities available. Take a trip to our Ticketing Section, tell us the type of ticket you’re after and we’ll bring up the best options to suit you.

    Hate waiting or worrying about being late for lectures then you need to take a nosy at YourNextBus. It gives you up to the minute live bus times online or through text message.

    If you need to know where a place is but you only know the surrounding area then plot a move to our Interactive Map. Use the search box to find the exact location and see all the public transport that runs around there.

    Do you fancy stretching your legs or launching into some exercise? Sheffield has plenty of places to walk or cycle, come on down to our specialised section to see for yourself.

    Your guide to travelling to university

    Bus services within Sheffield are generally operated by the two largest operators, First and Stagecoach Buses.

    Both companies operate extensive networks and have special fare deals for students, both daily, weekly and term time tickets – ask the bus driver or company for details. Smaller bus companies operate some services too. Visit our local bus operators page for a full list of local bus operators.

    Travelling to Sheffield Hallam

    Sheffield Hallam University (City Campus) is located in the City Centre, next to Sheffield Interchange and just a 2 minute walk from Sheffield Rail Station, from where there are direct trains serving many local destinations in South and West Yorkshire as well as national destinations such as Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Hull, Leeds, Lincoln, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and York.

    Many local bus services arrive/depart from Arundel Gate Interchange or High Street/Church Street/Leopold Street just a short walk away, in the City Centre.

    The Stagecoach Supertram network serves popular destinations e.g. Don Valley Stadium, Meadowhall, Sheffield Arena and the cosmopolitan bars/cafes and restaurants on West Street. The nearest tram stops to City Campus are Sheffield Station/Hallam University or Castle Square.

    Sheffield Hallam University (Collegiate Campus) is served by Bus Services 6, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, and 88/88A which operate up to every 5 minutes (Daytime) and 15 minutes (Evenings and Sundays). Buses operate from 0500 until 2330hrs. The nearest Bus Stop is on Ecclesall Road (Collegiate Crescent).

    Travelling to the University of Sheffield

    The University of Sheffield is served by Bus Services 30, 120, 123, 505, H1,and S6A (Glossop Road) or 51, 52, 505 and H1 (Western Bank) which operate up to every 8 minutes (Daytime) and 20 - 30 minutes (Evenings and Sundays). Buses operate from 0500 until 2330hrs.

    The nearest Bus Stops are on Glossop Road or Western Bank (University). The nearest Tram Stop is University of Sheffield.

    Trams on the Blue or Yellow Routes operate up to every 5 - 10 minutes (Daytime) and 10 - 20 minutes (Evenings and Sundays). The nearest Tram Stop is University of Sheffield.

    Endcliffe Student Village is served by Bus Services 120 (Fulwood journeys) and 123 which operate up to every 8 minutes (Daytime)and 15 minutes (Evenings and Sundays).

    Buses operate from 0545 until 2345hrs. The nearest Bus Stop is on Fulwood Road (Endcliffe Vale Road).

    In addition, Service 123 operates to/from the Student Village on Monday to Saturday, every 30 minutes.

    Bus 123 operates from 0725 until 2005 hrs. The nearest Bus Stop is on Endcliffe Vale Road.
