Door to door transportDoor 2 Door embraces a range of community transport services designed for people who cannot use standard public transport to travel around.

The services, operated by both fully accessible minibuses and cars, pick people up from their door to take them around their local area and beyond.

How do I register?

Before using any Door 2 Door transport service, passengers and groups need to register. This is very straightforward and requires the completion of a simple registration form.

Depending on where you live, there are different types of Door2Door services available including:

Shopper bus

Offering trips to popular destinations such as shopping centres on specified times and days.

Dial a ride

Offers a service that takes people from their home to anywhere within the district in which they live, and unlike Shopper Bus is not restricted to set destinations and times.

Group travel

Provides local community groups (such as church groups, tenants and residents associations and luncheon clubs) with access to a fleet of accessible minibuses that can be used for a wide range of activities. The vehicles are driven by trained volunteers as well as paid drivers and may be used for short or long-distance trips.

Community car schemes

Provided by volunteers using their own vehicles, can be booked for both local and longer distance journeys.
