“Fun, freedom and fitness.” These are just some of benefits of cycling, but it is also a cheap and quick way to get around for short journeys, such as travelling across town to work.
Cycling can help you beat the traffic jams and help the environment while improving your health, mood and feeling of wellbeing and it's pretty cheap compared with other ways of travelling.
With all these benefits its easy to understand why more and more people are making the switch to the bike.

Cycle to work guarantee
This voluntary scheme is part of the government's strategy to encourage take up of cycling to and from the workplace. Currently only 3% of employees cycle to work (Source: DfT, 2007)
Employers can show that they are, or intend to be a cycle friendly employer by signing up. Equally, employees can see if their employers is, or intends to be cycle friendly.
