When Main St closes:
Services 137 and 138 towards Rotherham will turn left on Centenary Way, College Rd roundabout then Bridge Str.
FROM Rotherham will divert via Chantry Bridge, Greasbrough Rd & Centenary Way then U turn back to Masbrough St

Hillsborough Stadium - Sheffield Wednesday Homes Games

When Leppings La (only) closes:
Services 18, 97 & 98 TOWARDS Hillsborough Interchange will divert along Penistone Rd then turn right along Bradfield Rd to Hillsborough Corner.
Services FROM Hillsborough Interchange will turn left onto Langsett Rd, left down Bamforth St then left along Penistone Rd.

Additionally due to parked cars on Donovan Road, Service 98 will operate via the 97 route for the duration of a game

Penistone Rd: Services 7, 8, 8A & 86 in both directions.

Bramall Lane Stadium -Sheffield United Homes Games

Bramall Lane will close for a substantial period. Shoreham Street will also close sporadically between Alderson Road & Charlotte Road roundabout.
Services 11, 18 & MAN4 will divert via Queens Road, Charlotte Road, Shoreham Street & St Marys in both directions.
Service 252 will divert via Queens Road, Granville Square and St. Mary's in both directions 

TO GET THERE:
Shoreham St: 11,24,25 & 51

Note: If Shoreham Street is closed, then 1a, 11, 18, 24, 41, 51, 252 & MAN4 services will all divert via Queens Road, Granville Square & St Marys in both directions.

Services 27b, 28 and 32, although not diverted, these will be subject to delay along Pontefract Road near Oakwell Stadium.

Several roads in the vicinity of the Football Ground are also subject to Traffic Restriction Orders before and after each game.

Service 138 will divert between Kimberworth Park Road/Bents Road turning circle and High Street divert via Kimberworth Park Road, Oaks Lane, Upper Wortley Road, Fellowsfield Way,  High Street in both directions

Service 136 will divert from Upper Wortley Road via Fellowsfield Way to resume route on  High Street in both directions

Temporary road closure of Green Road for approximately 30 metres either side of the railway bridge, from 10.00 pm 23 April 2024 to 6.00 am 24 April 2024. This is for a bridge maintenance.

Emergency closure of Huddersfield Road, Penistone will be closed from the junction with Barnsley Road for about 100 metres due to a collapsed wall. From 11th April 2024 to 22nd April 2024.
Services will not be able to use this part of the road. Vehicular access to Penistone school  will be available via the north (A629 and Huddersfield Road) so school services should not be affected.

Towards Doncaster, services 87 and 87a are operating as normal to Marshland Road at the junction with Coulman Street then diverting via Coulman Street and Church Balk before resuming normal route on Haynes Road.

Towards Moorends, services 87 and 87a are operating as normal to Haynes Road at the junction with Church Balk then diverting via Church Balk and Coulman Street before resuming normal route on Marshland Road.

Service 56 diverted via Broad Street, Cricket Inn Lane, Maltravers Road and Whites Lane both direction until end of service.

83 towards Fulwood/Lodge Moor will need to divert between Pitsmoor Road and Snig Hill to run on Bridgehouses Roundabout, Corporation Street (full length), West Bar and Snig Hill, missing the two bus stops on Millsands. It can serve the bus stop outside the Courts as an alternative.

88 towards Ecclesall/Bents Green will need to divert between Lady’s Bridge and Haymarket to run directly on Waingate, missing the bus stop on Snig Hill. It can use bus stop CG16 on Waingate instead of CG9 on Snig Hill.

Revised Date:
Temporary road closure of Old Mill Lane from Harborough Hill Road to Old Tannery Road for TM set up/TM removal for bridge widening scheme. On 21st April 2024 from 1900 to 0600. (Another night may be needed at a later date).

There will be a temporary no right turn restriction from Old Mill Lane on to Old Tannery Road, allowing traffic to travel in a northbound direction onto Wakefield Road only, the restriction will be in place on an intermittent basis, as and when required for a 5-month period starting on 19th February 2024.

Due to works taking place on Packman Road under road closure, there is heavy congestion on Brampton Road as this is being used by traffic as a diversion route causing buses on 22x to either become stuck or experience significant delays.  Buses are currently diverting via Barnsley Road – Pontefract Road in both directions. 

Services 87 and 87a will divert Via Littlewood Road and Coulman Street in both directions until further notice

Towards Hatfield, service 384 to operate as normal to Crookes Broom Lane where the service will terminate at the bus stop near to the junction of Inverness Road.

Towards Doncaster, service 384 to depart from the bus stop on Crookes Broom Lane near to the junction with Inverness Road then operate via Crookes Broom Lane before turning left and resuming normal route on Station Road.

After 18:00, services 219 and 219a will not reach stops from Great Houghton Thurnscoe Lane/Stonebridge Lane to Goldthore Fields End Road/Dunsil Lane in both directions. 

Also from 18:00, service 226 will only run between Barnsley and Goldthorpe Barnsley Road/Highgate in both directions.
