Your MegaTravel/MiCard will be valid up to 31 July of the school year in which you turn 16 (or up to the day before your 16th birthday if that falls in August). You will automatically be issued with an over 16s card, which will expire the day before your 18th birthday.

A MegaTravel/MiCard entitles you to:
Free travel between 0900 and 2100 on weekdays and all day weekends:
- on all bus journeys in Barnsley
- on bus journeys between Barnsley and other South Yorkshire districts as long as they start or finish in Barnsley
60p travel:
- on all weekday bus journeys before 0900 and after 2100
- on all bus and tram journeys wholly outside of Barnsley
Half fare
- On train journeys within South Yorkshire
A MiCard (over 16s) entitles you to:
