Zero Fare Pass

Zero Fare PassIf you are in full time education, you live in South Yorkshire, and you travel over three miles from home to your school – two miles if you are under eight years old – you MAY qualify for a Zero Fare Pass. This is just as it sounds – a pass that gives free travel on public transport to and from school.

If your school is outside South Yorkshire, the pass is only valid as far as the county boundary.

If you don’t meet your local authority’s rules for receiving a free Zero Fare Pass, you can buy one yourself and pay by monthly instalments. For more information about the pass and what it costs, call Concessions & Ticketing on 0114 2211419 or email zerofares@sypte.co.uk with details of your child's name, address, age, the school they are attending and the number of buses/trams they catch to school.
