Code of Conduct
Find a seat and remain seated for the duration of the journey.
On buses, standing is only allowed if there are no seats available, but not next to the driver, on the stairs or on the top deck.
Please do not speak, stand near or distract the driver while the vehicle is in motion.
Behave in an orderly manner, no bullying, fighting or verbal abuse.
Anti-social behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
No vandalism or criminal damage – operators will and do prosecute.
Do not throw things inside the bus or tram or out of the windows.
Show consideration for other passengers; remember you’re representing your school.
No smoking.
No spitting.
Never open the emergency exits unless there is an emergency.
When your stop is next ring the bell once, if it has already been rung do not ring it again.
Wait until the vehicle has stopped before moving to the front to get off.
If you have to cross the road after you leave the vehicle, wait until the vehicle has moved off and you can see the road is clear both ways or go to the nearest available crossing.
