This is your Student Travel Kit and it gives you access to all the public transport information you’ll need when you’re 16 and looking at your further education, training and employment options. Use your Student Travel Kit to find your way round our website and access all the following:
Tools4Travel
Tools4Travel offers a range of online tools to make all your public transport journeys easier. You can do all these things:
Life after MegaTravel
After Year 11, you can no longer use the MegaTravel Pass you’ve had for years. However you have other options available for use on public transport in South Yorkshire:
If you carry on studying
Stay in full time education and you can apply for a 16-18 Student Pass. This is available to use from the start of the September term, so make sure you apply early.
If you go to work or on a training course
Leave full time education to take a job or start a training course and you can still take advantage of discounted travel if you buy a 16-19 TravelMaster.
There’s also a discounted 19-21 TravelMaster for people in that age range. Both are available at our information centres.
But remember - you’ll need an up-to-date passport-size photo the first time you buy either.
If you are unemployed or on a low income
Even if you find yourself out of work or on a low income, you could be eligible for an Off Peak TravelMaster. Vist the page to find out if it applies to you. This needs an up-to-date passport-size photo too.
Talk to Traveline
If you would rather talk to someone about your travel query, contact the Travel South Yorkshire Traveline service. Traveline provides a public transport advice everyday from 0700-2200. Just ring 01709 51 51 51 – it’s a local-rate call from any landline in South Yorkshire. (Call costs from mobiles vary).
